The Star of the Sea High and Stella Maris International Security are investigating reports that Star of the Sea High School email accounts associated with Edublog as well as their official social accounts, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram were hacked, school officials told BecauseMedia SA.

The BecauseMedia Post interviewed the alleged hacker, who said he accessed a PayPal account associated with Star of the Sea that included information regarding its security clearance application, and the hacker is also suspected to have accessed a Facebook account associated with Star.

The SMIS issued a statement on Friday morning saying they are aware of the report. A Star of the Sea spokesman also issued a statement saying, “We don’t discuss the Secretary’s security information. We have forwarded this matter to the appropriate authorities.” The Police declined to comment.

It does not appear that any classified information was accessed, according to a law enforcement official.

The reports highlight the sensitivity of admin using school email addresses whether or not they use them for school purposes, an issue thrust into the spotlight in part by Star of the Sea’s admin use of private email when she was admin of the school's accounts.

While much of the controversy over Star’s email use stems from the fact that it used the account for work purposes — there has also been concern about officials using personal email for non-work purposes but on company computers.

The problem is that private email addresses make easy targets.

The concern with personal email is that it can be relatively easy for hackers to target and exists outside the protections on .gov, .edu & email addresses managed by the schools.

In fact, the hacker told Because Media that he used a stunningly simple tactic to allegedly hack Government’s account.

Star of the Sea shared on their Facebook Page that they now created a new Gmail account for a temporary use while its mail team resolve the issue.  They can now bw reached at [email protected] or [email protected].

Billed as the biggest comedy tour of all time, the Kevin Hart What Now? Comedy Tour made its debut in Texas in April this year with sell-out performances throughout the USA, Canada, UK and Australia.

The South African leg of the tour kicks off in March 2016 with shows in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.

With a huge international fan base for his charismatic appeal and fast-talking style of comedy, Hart fits perfectly into the sharp-witted world of Savanna with its signature dry take on humour and ardent support of comedy ever since its launch in 1996.

"Savanna's association with this unconventional, world class entertainer is spot on for the brand which is why we have gone all out to bring Kevin Hart to South Africa on his very first visit to the African continent. His rise to fame as the ultimate maverick, quitting his job as a shoe salesman after an electrifying chance performance in a Philadelphia comedy club, exemplifies Savanna’s left-of-centre attitude and shunning of the ordinary," says Marcel Swain, Savanna SA Marketing Manager.

A prolific entertainer, Hart is one of the most hardworking performers in show business today with his comedy tours, hit movies, television show and prime time TV appearances. He has more than 30 films to his credit, the most recent being The Wedding Ringer and Get Hard opposite Will Ferrell, both released earlier this year." target="_blank" rel="nofollow">

Mzansi's celebrity power couples

Forget Beyonce and Jay Z, or Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, South Africa has its own power couples... thank you very much!

Not only do we admire them as individuals, but some have proven that working as a team makes them even more admirable. We may not know what their combined networths are (where's Forbes?), but we know this: they truly are an inspiration to many.

Connie and Shona Ferguson

© Provided by Zaleb

You can't look at these two and not get inspired. Connie and Shona have been married for over ten years and seem to be growing stronger each year. Their production company, Ferguson Films, has brought us hit TV shows like Rockville which, by the way, is making a comeback soon. It seems like they are not only good as lovers and friends, but they're also good at doing business together. It really doesn't get better than that, hey?

Bokang Montjane and Siphiwe Tshabalala

© Provided by Zaleb

No, this is not a mistake. Siphiwe and Bokang, who've been together for about three years, are doing some great work together. The couple, who share a son, seems to also love making a difference. They do some amazing work through their foundations - from giving away bursaries and giving talks at schools - they always seem to make time for what's important. Bokang put it nicely in one of her social media posts a while back - she said they are partners in business and in everything else.

Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo

© Provided by Zaleb

Romeo is not really in the spotlight. Instead, it seems like he has allowed his wife to shine and has been a supportive husband throughout the years. Bassie, as she is affectionately known, has been a force in the media industry for two decades. Love Top Billing, Our Perfect Wedding, Date My Family and other top shows? Well, Bassie and her team are behind those. See? Everything she touches turns into reality TV gold. At the recent Women in Media Seminar, Bassie said she married the hottest man on the planet. "What a divine blessing that I have. A man who understands, celebrates me and just wills me to my true greatness..." On being a working mom, she said she's happy. "I'm a happy mom, my kids are content and yeah... I do my best and God does the rest."

Nhlanhla and TK Nciza

© Provided by Zaleb

Awww... we love happy endings. Nhlanhla and TK have been married for 11 years and, yes, they are still going strong. They've been through some really hectic moments, like losing a child. But you know what they say... love conquers all. Nhlanhla is doing well in the music industry and has fans all over Africa, while her husband runs a successful record label.

Mbali Mlothswa and DJ Black Coffee

 © Provided by Zaleb

When it comes to making it work againts all odds, Mbali and her husband come to mind. We're sure you've read about the cheating rumours, with a lady coming forward to claim that she had a relationship with the internationally-renowed DJ. But guess what? These two are in it for the long run. Black Coffee, who has revealed his latest album artwork, continues to represent SA internationally. His wife, on the other hand, is not only an actress, but she also has her own pregnany range. She's currently working on her summer range.

Oh, and what's a Mzansi power couple list without Patrice Motsepe and Dr Precious Moloi-Moloi? They are the ultimate power duo - from money, to business, influence, making a difference, beauty and the list goes on and on.

Nicki Minaj's ex covers up tattoo of her face

Nicki Minaj's ex-boyfriend has had his final tattoo of her covered up.

Safaree Samuels - who dated the 'Anaconda' hitmaker for 14 years before she dumped him last year - has had a bed of roses inked over his final body art tribute to her.

The 34-year-old rapper fuelled rumours he'd split from the 32-year-old star in 2014 after he replaced etchings of her face and name on his chest with a rose and locket and key design.

And he now appears to have put their relationship behind him for good as a tattoo artist posted before and after shots of Safaree's forearm on his Instagram account.

Alongside a split image of a Marilyn Monroe-inspired portrait of Nicki and a rose tattoo design, iAmCompton wrote: "and u think yo job is hard. Just finish this piece for @iamsafaree #SorryNicki #itsJustBusiness #inkArtMusic (sic)"

The Hoodstars rapper's decision to permanently erase his ex-girlfriend and former bandmate from his life comes after she reportedly dumped new boyfriend and rumoured fiancé Meek Mill for badmouthing both him and Drake.

A source said previously: "It's complicated. I think they took their relationship too far, too fast."

And although Nicki and Meek are currently on tour together, having appeared at Dubai nightclub People By Crystal last night (01.09.15), they're said to be putting on a brave face for their fans.

The source added: "The two plan on fulfilling the rest of their tour obligations together."

Nimrod Nkosi replaces Zola on Utatakho

Posted by NSM on August 30, 2015 at 10:15 PM Comments comments (0)

Mzansi Magic’s Utatakho has revealed that former Jam Alley presenter and motivational speaker Nimrod Nkosi will be taking over Zola’s role as the host of the show.

After eight impressive episodes and eleven weeks’ worth of travelling to different parts of the country, Zola is opted to step down from the show. Zola’s reason for stepping down is due to his increasingly busy schedule which includes his demanding career in music and his philanthropy work.

Nimrod Nkosi has expressed great excitement in following in Zola’s footsteps:
As one of the most recognisable faces in the industry and an extensive television background, Nkosi is thrilled to follow in Zola’s footsteps:

“It is an honour and a pleasure to be roped in by the channel and the production to be part of this programme, and have the baton passed on to me from one of this country’s most talented and multifaceted hosts, Zola 7. I will be bringing my unique brand of hosting talent to the show, as I continue with the vision and mandate, which is to give a platform to those in Mzansi who seek answers and closure,” says Nkosi.
Nimrod Nkosi will start his new job as the host of Utatakho on the 1st of September.
